The pig roast was awesome and complimented the ambiance I was looking for! The ribs and the macaroni and cheese were the best that we’ve ever tasted. The hashbrown casserole was mouthwatering!! “The event they catered was our son’s 16th birthday party for 110 guests, a mixture of adults and teenagers. From the first contact between Michelle and myself until the clean up and their departure from our event, our experience with communication on even the smallest detail was incredibly positive. We entertained proposals from 4 companies for our event, 2 of which we have contracted with previously. I am typically the person who goes with the tried and true and what works… so if its worked in the past, why mess with it. But for our son’s party, I ventured out and we sought other proposals and I am so glad we decided to contract with Michelle and Dale at Hickory BBQ & Grill. The day of our event, their team arrived well ahead of schedule to set up (much appreciated). Michelle, Dale, and Phil were professional, courteous, friendly, and fun. Their interactions with us, our son, his friends, and all of our guests was amazing – the mix of teens and adults – and that was very important to my husband and I. The food was ready to be served at our agreed upon time. The food quality was remarkable, hot, delicious and I saw many guests go back for seconds and thirds. Months after our event has ended when we see friends and guests from our party, they still rave on about the food and how “incredible it was.” “What a great idea the smoker was and having it catered onsite.” My sister in law never eats ribs, doesn’t like the work that goes into them and most of all the taste of most of them, she had her fair share that day. Even her husband asked what she was eating he couldn’t believe it she said “They are amazing, they fall right off the bone.” Interestingly we were just speaking of the ribs this past weekend. Again, from our first initial contact through our last interaction that day, the food, the professionalism, and the overall experience was unforgettable. I recommend Hickory BBQ & Grill for any catered event, whatever the size. We will contract with them again, without a doubt. Hickory BBQ’s customer service played a huge part, in addition to the food selection. Customer Service is huge to Bryon and I both and we wanted to make sure the company we selected would treat our guests like family not like clients. When I met Dale and Phil the day of our event – I was put more at ease (if that was even possible).
